Tom Brady Officially Announces Retirement
After 22 seasons, Tom Brady has announced his retirement, bringing an end to an awe inspiring, legendary, second to none playing career. He’s goated there really is no denying that… I don’t think we’ll ever see anything quite like that again so the man deserves his respect, and this is coming from a diehard Packers fan.
The whole ordeal was a bit strange after the news was initially reported by NFL insiders Adam Schefter and Jeff Darlington (the latter, I’ve never heard of) then denied and contested by people close to Brady like his dad! Despite the speculation, outlets ran with the story, going on to say Tom would make the announcement himself in the coming days, and well… here we are.
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ quarterback made the announcement via social media on Tuesday, sharing a photo and a statement.

Brady’s statement would of course thank teammates, coaches, fans, and family for their support, but it was hard not to notice something… or the lack thereof. There was absolutely no mention of the New England Patriots lol… in an almost disrespectfully spiteful fashion Tom only saw fit to mention and thank those in Tampa for aiding and riding along with him all those years on his journey to greatness.
I personally am here for all of it and drinking these Pats fans tears.
