The “genius” mind behind the hip-hop group Digital Underground passed away at the age of 57. Gregory “Shock G” Jacobs produced some of the biggest hip-hop tracks that we still sing and play today. Just a few are..”Humpty Dance,” “Same Song,” & “Dowutchyalike!” The group introduced 2pac into the rap game, and Shock G produced almost half of 2pac’s first LP. One of his biggest productions for 2pac was “I Get Around” and he was also featured on the song. He is a Oakland “Bay Area” hip-hop legend, and will be sorely missed…Thank you Shock G for your contributions to the culture!
