After their relationship was “under review,” Adidas severed ties with Kanye West.
-
The athletic leisure company released a statement on Tuesday (October 25) : “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.”
-
“After a thorough review, Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect,” the statement concluded.
-
Adidas’ decision to cease working with Ye follows several other businesses that have stated they will no longer work with the entertainer, including talent agency, CAA, T.V. studio, MRC, and Def Jam. “It’s time for me to go it alone,” Kanye told Bloomberg. “No more companies standing in between me and the audience.”

In Kanye’s rant about Jewish people, he clarified the word “Jew,” saying, “When I say Jew, I mean the 12 lost tribes of Judah,” he said. “The blood of Christ, who the race—the people known as the race Black really are. This is who our people are. The blood of Christ. This, as a Christian, is my belief.”

Kanye West appeared on Fox News’ Tucker Carlson to defend his and others’ “White Lives Matter” t-shirts.
-
Carlson asked Kanye why he wore the shirt, “I do certain things from a feeling, I channel the energy, it just feels right…we’re in a battle with the media, the majority of the media has a godless agenda,” Kanye told Carlson.
-
The rapper said the answer to why he wrote “White Lives Matter” on a shirt is because “they do…it’s the obvious thing.” Kanye said the reason the saying is controversial is that “the same people who have stripped us from our identity and labeled us as a color have told us what it means to be black and the vernacular we’re supposed to have.”
-
Kanye claims he felt compelled to speak out after backing with Donald Trump, and he and others who wear the shirt have been threatened with physical assault.
