BIG WINS…Grammy Night!!! Beyonce, Viola Davis & Hip Hop!

Beyonce is already the “Queen” of this era of music, but she solidified her position winning her 32nd Grammy, making her the most decorated artist in Grammy history! Beyonce didn’t win “Album of the Year,” but she did win “R&B Song of the Year,” “Best Dance Recording,” “Best Dance/Electronica Album,” and “Best Traditional R&B Performance!” Viola Davis not only won “Best Spoken Word/Non Musical Album,” but earned her first E.G.O.T. (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar & Tony). Viola Davis is the the 3rd African-American woman to achieve E.G.O.T. status! “Hip Hop 50” was definitely celebrated at The Grammys as well, with performances from Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five, LL Cool J, Run DMC, Lil Uzi Vert, Scarface, Big Boi, Busta Rhymes, Missy Elliott, DJ Jazzy Jeff, Ice T, Lil Baby, Future, Method Man, Nelly, Glorilla, Public Enemy, Queen Latifah, Salt N Pepa, Black Thought, Questlove, Too Short, DJ Khaled, Rick Ross, Lil Wayne Jay-Z, and the list goes on! Kendrick Lamar brought home “Rap Album of the Year!” So much love and appreciation for the culture that it made you feel proud to either grow up listening to these legends, or just proud to see them glow in the moment!
