Beyoncé Didn’t Make The CMA Awards Final Ballot
The CMA Awards nominations caused a stir when Beyoncé was notably absent from the list despite her successful country-themed album “Cowboy Carter.” The album debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and made Beyoncé the first Black woman to top the Top Country Albums chart. One of the album’s singles, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” also reached number one on the Hot Country Songs chart. Some say Beyoncé’s absence from the nominations was due to a lack of promotion. Country radio favors albums that are strictly promoted to them and promoted by the label. Others say it was because Beyoncé didn’t embrace the country community, much like Post Malone did.
